Sharing of Indigenous cultural heritage has become more difficult due to a lack of information and appropriate resources, according to new research from the Whitlam Institute.

Calls have been renewed for a national map of cultural and historical sites of Indigenous significance, with fears that protection for existing sites has been diminished.

With state resources not up to the task, will we commit to a national record or will we put our history at risk?
