National compensation scheme for Slavery and trafficking victims

Slavery and trafficking are issues that are very much alive and flying under the radar in Australia in 2016.

Victims of slavery and trafficking are able to claim for compensation but the system is currently not on an equal playing field across the nation in terms of payouts.

Today, the Law Council of Australia released a new report outlining the case for a national compensation scheme to be implemented to make compensation payments fairer to the victims.
