Nanotechnology has many benifits ranging from significantly strengthening our ability ot fight cancer, sterilising polluted water, and to strengthing sun cream. However there is a controversial side to nanotechnology. Carbon Nanotubes have the capacity to behave like asabestos, puncturing the walls of the lungs and consequently casuing lung cancer. Academics, the ACTU and the Greens have called for more regulation on the nanotechnology industry.
