By any other name: Macedonia’s concession to join NATO

When NATO members meet this week, they’ll be considering whether to admit Macedonia under its controversial new name. Zoran Zaev and Alexis Tsipras, the prime ministers of Macedonia and Greece respectively, agreed on the change to the Republic of Northern Macedonia last month. It could be the end of nearly thirty years’ dispute, but it still needs to be finalised.
