Celebrations are held across Australia each July during NAIDOC week to recognise the history, culture and achievements of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people. Some of those who continue to make an enormous contribution to developing South Australia’s future were honoured with NAIDOC awards in Adelaide this week. They come from a wide diversity of fields including education, employment, politics, sport and the arts.
