Myrtle Rust Threatens Australia’s Native Plant Species

In April 2010 Myrtle Rust was found on the New South Wales central coast. This fungus is quickly spreading up the east coast of Australia and has been found as far north as Cairns. It has devastated the New South Wales nursery industry with an estimated damage bill of ten million dollars.
