Irrigators and regional communities are dismayed that the Murray Darling Basin draft outlines cuts to their water allocations by almost a half. They’ve warned of massive job losses and potential riots in the street. But the Wentworth Group of Concerned Scientists say that the plan is the best opportunity we have had yet to save the Murray Darling River.
