Multiculturalism is not dead, it’s something that’s a part of who we are. That’s according to a group of hip hop artists from Malaysian, Indian, Greek and Tongan backgrounds. They’ve released a youtube campaign- on behalf of FECCA – the Federation of Ethnic Communities Council of Australia. Several months ago the British Prime Minister and the German Chancellor both claimed that multiculturalism had failed in their countries, in Australia conservative politicians like South Australian Senator Corey Bernardi said the same had happened here. But for these hip hop performers, it’s an issue that’s still alive and kicking.
