Mugabe warned – agree to share or you might get shot

Earlier this week it looked as though the tenuous agreement between Robert Mugabe and the Movement for Democratic Change may all fall apart as Mugabe announced he had changed his mind about sharing power and would be appointing his own government. Both parties have now been called back to the negotiating table by South African president Thabo Mbeke. MDC parliamentarian Eddie Cross believes that the army’s soldiers are underpaid and angry and are likely to revolt against Mugabe if he doesn’t end the impasse.
