A new code of conduct for federal MPs looks set to get the go-ahead from the parliament later this week. The move looks set to pass, despite the opposition suggesting that they won’t be backing the changes. They want to wait until a committee reports back on a similar set of regulations for senators. Meanwhile experts in the field of public administration are divided over whether the new regulations will go too far, or not far enough.
