ABC journalist Jeff Waters and author of a just released book about the Mulrunji case, Gone For Song… says Hurley’s payout is far from being the only secret surrounding the affair. Waters is calling for the release of secret evidence, not able to be revealed in court, which he says could change the way indigenous people are treated by police. His book accuses Queensland authorities of ignoring widespread concern about the way the case was handled .
