More Pain for Burma, as World Bank Refuses Aid

The World Bank has announced that they won’t provide Burma with financial relief because they haven’t progressed in payments of their debt since 1998. On the other hand the Burmese government has granted access to a small number of aid agencies over the last few days. Tim O’Connor from Caritas Australia and the Director of Policy and Programs at World Vision Australia, Paul Ronalds spoke to The Wire, with both relief organisations stationed in Burma since the beginning.
