Today (July 30th) is World Day Against Trafficking in Persons which is about honouring first responders who put themselves in the firing line to help those vulnerable to human trafficking around the world.

This year focuses on how the COVID-19 pandemic has caused multinational corporations and businesses to lose sight on social responsibility for working conditions of their global supply chains and instead authorising forced labour exploitation of migrant and undocumented workers without ensuring adequate access to health and safety regulatory measures to report these incidents.
