When slavery is mentioned, we often think of cotton and sugar plantations and Africans being taken away and sold in open markets.

But did you know there were over 40 million people in slavery in the world today?  It takes a different form but has many of the same basic loss of liberty and wretched work conditions.

UNSW’s Associate Professor Justine Nolan and Dr Martjn Boersma from UTS School of Business have collaborated on “Addressing Modern Slavery” a new book due out in September.
