Millions of dollars wasted on contaminated recycled waste

EY Climate Change found on their latest report that millions of dollars are being wasted because of poor recycling conditions in Australia.

While the industry could be making over 300 million dollars a year on recycled waste, it’s only getting 4.2 million dollars due to the high rates of contamination.

An expert says this can be resolved by updating the infrastructure on sorting waste and strengthening the Australian market for the reuse of end-of-life plastics.
