Migration amendments need to be consulted: Senator

The Federal government introduced amendments to the Migration Act before Easter to give greater powers on deliberately deciding who stays in Australia.

The move has brought concerns to the multicultural communities across Australia who believe it’s a targeting strategy.

The newly appointed Shadow Assistant Minister for Multicultural Engagement Senator Paul Scarr says the government needs to learn from this action.
