Far from being a burden on the economy, a report from Australia’s Migration Council finds migrants actually boost it. The figures predict migration to Australia will be adding $1.6 trillion yearly to GDP by 2050. Carla Wilshire, Council CEO, says increasing our migrant intake will benefit all aspects of the economy and workforce.
