Migrant women feel less safe in Australia: report

This week, at the National Press Club, the Migrant and Refugee Women in Australia: The Safety and Security Study was released, showing concerning statistics about the experiences migrant and refugee women face in Australia.

One third of the 1400 respondents have experienced domestic violence, particularly those on temporary visas.

The report also outlined experiences of prejudice and racism, and a lack of trust in some government institutions.
