More Australians than ever identify as middle class in a new IPSOS white paper issued by NAB Private Wealth. However they are earning more and enjoying it less. People with incomes of $150,000 p.a. were found to be living payweek to payweek, with no wiggle room. But how do you identify class anyway? – its not just income. Some people look at lifestyle, attitudes, education, what their parents did – most people found real difficulty in defining it. Top lifestyle priorities were: Technology, Entertainment, University Education, followed by Health Insurance, Organic Food and Eating out – sounds pretty middle class actually
