Mick Mundine responds to calls to resign over affordable housing

Just three kilometres from the heart of Sydney lies a very controversial, vacant, stretch of land. It’s called The Block, and is in the inner west suburb of Redfern. Once public housing for Sydney’s Aboriginal community, the land is now part of the Pemulway Project, an initiative by the Aboriginal Housing Company. While The Block is supposed to become a site of low-income housing for the Aboriginal community, it was recently claimed that a commercial development, with student housing and retail spaces, would go ahead instead.
