Smoking is banned from clubs, pubs, restaurants, and train stations. And now it will be banned from mental institutions. Mentally ill patients under state control in New South Wales will be forced go cold turkey because non-smoking policies will be forced upon mental health facilities across the State. Since a huge eighty percent of mentally ill patients are smokers, there are fears that such rigorous measures will discourage people from seeking medical help.
