The 18th of August marks the day in 1966 when Australians fought the Battle of Long Tan in Vietnam. Each year around this day we remember those who served in Australia’s longest and probably most unpopular conflict. Elliot Bisham served as a regular soldier with the first Australian field hospital in South Vietnam in 1968/69. He recalls how his experience in the war changed his life forever.
