Dr Philip Nitschke was suspended by the Australian Medical Board last night in a use of their emergency powers. Complaints were made against the euthanasia advocate, alleging he supported the suicide of 45 year old Western Australian man, Nigel Brayley, who was not terminally ill. Dr Nitschke says a rational person has a right to decide to take their own like, but anti-euthanasia groups maintain that the focus should be on support services instead.
