Go on to Google and you’ll find over ten thousand news items – and counting – from around the world on the rescue of the trapped miners in Chile. Turn on any TV channel and you’ll see footage of Fiorencio Avalos emerging into the light to be greeted by his sobbing son and hugged by his President. 1700 journalists are camped near the mine site, every one of them hoping to get a new angle, a story about the story that’s a bit different. It’s a media frenzy and they don’t happen on this scale very often. But what will the aftermath be once the media frenzy is over?
