In crime fiction the villains generally get what they deserve –But in the real crime world cases don’t necessarily have such neat and satisfying endings. According to writer and editor Lindy Cameron, in the world of crime life is a lot meaner than fiction. She’s collected a swag of true life tales from the Australian courts where justice certainly was not done, and asked crime writers to tell the stories. The collection is called Meaner Than Fiction.
