Water is quickly developing as THE national issue of importance and with Summer only one day away, water, or lack there of, will prove an ever-more vital commodity. In South Australia, allegations of profiteering have been levelled against owners of Murray River water licenses who have used recent amendments to the water market to sell their licenses at a much higher rate. But it’s the marginal MPs that are calling State and Federal Governments to task over the water issue. The Wire spoke to Water broker Tom Rooney as well as Independent MP Dr Bob Such and South Australian Democrat Sandra Kank.
