Asylum seekers and refugees are refusing to leave Manus Island detention centre after it’s closure yesterday afternoon.
Essential services such as water, food and power supplies have been cut off.
The refugees fear for their safety from the local Papua New Guinean community and also fear that the alternative accommodation do not facilitate basic human rights.
