The popular star Madonna and the Christian orthodoxy, were never close friends. This relationship was recently intensified when the queen of pop featured her own mock crucifixion, in her “confessions” tour around North America and Europe. While Christian followers argue that performers like Madonna should be banned from, what they see as, ridiculing Jesus Christ, others argue that Madonna has the right to express herself freely. Madonna’s next performance will be in Moscow, but some in the Russian Christian community are protesting against her right to hold the concert.
