The Lucky Country? Reinventing Australia is a new book from academic and scientist Ian Lowe AO that explores what Australia’s future may look like?

Fifty years on from the release of Donald Horne’s iconic book “The Lucky Country”, Lowe highlights challenges that face the nation including our geographic location, economy, changing society and worsening environmental issues.

As well as this, it brings to light the extent to which this iconic phrase has been misrepresented over the decades.

Ian Lowe will be launching the book in South Australia on Tuesday 31st May.
