The South Australian government appears to be backing away from its announcement last week it was appointing an administrator to take control of the Anangu Pititinjara lands in far north South Australia. The government now says it is appointing a ‘co-ordinator’ for the Pit lands. After launching the 2003 ATSI Social Justice report in Adelaide today Lowita O’Donahue spoke to the media about what’s happening in the Pit and what she hopes might come from this latest government initiative.
