A Bill to extend the so-called Stronger Futures Legislation is expected to pass through the senate in the next two weeks. So comes as no surprise that Minister for Indigenous Affairs, Jenny Macklin, was out trumpeting its success today with an update on Closing the Gap in the Northern Territory. It puts in place the necessary legal framework to extend the NT intervention another ten years.
