Farmers both here and around the world are worried about how issues like climate change, disease and even global food monopolies will affect how they farm, and whether they can continue to supply the world with food.

Dr Shakeel Bhatti from the UN’s Food and Agriculture Organisation spoke at today’s National Press Club. He is visiting Australia to tell farmers how the International Treaty on Plant Genetic Resources for Food and Agriculture – a binding agreement that gives signatory countries the opportunity to share information and exchange crops – can help.
