Living with HIV / AIDS in Indonesia
The Spiritia foundation provides peer-support to Indonesians living with HIV / AIDS. This week a group of three Spiritia members are in Australia to discuss their work. Chris Green from Spiritia spoke to Jay Lamey about the difficulties for those living with HIV / AIDS in Indonesia. He also told Jay about some of the inspiriational projects his colleagues Rosy and Prima are working on: providing free counselling and testing in Balinese jails and helping hospitals learn to care for HIV / AIDS patients. People with HIV / AIDS in Australia can expect the latest in medical care, but as David Menadue from the National Association of People Living with HIV / AIDS explained, it can still be a very expensive illness to have.
