Mental illness in young men aged 12 to 25 costs the Australian Economy $3.27 billion dollars a year, or $387 000 an hour in lost productivity. Those statistics may seem like a callous way to look at mental health, but it’s based on new research aimed at getting a different kind of response. This new report from the Inspire Foundation is called “Counting the cost: The impact of young men’s mental health on the Australian economy”
