Liberal Party turmoil: Pesutto’s defamation cases and polls

The Liberal Party in Victoria have been in power for 4 of the last 26 years. And while their counterparts are on the ascendency in Queensland and are clinging to power in Tasmania, things are still looking bad for the Liberals and their leader John Pesutto.

Pesutto is potentially facing 3 defamation cases amid growing speculation over the future of his leadership of the Liberal Party, and polls have the Liberals continually far behind the Government.

Dr Geoffrey Robinson senior lecturer in Politics and Policy Studies at Deakin University spoke to The Wire about the crisis engulfing the Liberals in Victoria.
