It’s pretty amazing that its taken util the 21st century to get a decent pocket-size guide to everything about Aboriginal Australia. It’s called the Little Red Yellow Black Book and it covers the lot in a colourful upbeat but honest way – the darker historical episodes and the art, culture and sport. Bruce Pascoe is the author – he’s a Bunurung man,… an award-winning writer, editor and anthologist. He says the book fills a vacuum and is the perfect thing to pop in the glovebox when heading out to see the real Australia.
