On October 31 the Federal Government announced a cut to all funding for the Central Australian Aboriginal Legal Aid Service and has tasked a Darwin based organisation to take over service delivery in the area.

But what now for Aboriginal legal aid in Central Australia?

The move is one that has seen Labor MP for Lingiari, Warren Snowden, label Attorney General George Brandis a ‘mug’ and has polarised opinion in the Northern Territory.
