Aboriginal languages and getting them going again is the focus of a conference in Adelaide this week. The Federal government has shown little interest in reviving indigenous languages, but some state governments have. One very successful language centre in Nambucca Heads in new South Wales is running classes for both primary and high school students – Michael Jarratt teaches the littlies and David Prosser takes the older students – they say the program is working for the whole community.
