Humans evolved as hunter-gatherers and they’ve really only been cooped up in offices and bureaucracies for a couple of hundred years. No wonder then that we run into behavioural problems in such an environment. Management expert Andrew O’Keeffe reckons we need to look to our close relations the apes to understand what really makes us tick. He takes groups of executives to observe the chimpanzees at Taronga Park Zoo in order to learn lessons about leadership.
