Labor unveils Indigenous economic development plan

The Labor party has unveiled its plan to lift indigenous communities out of poverty, particularly in remote communities. The Indigenous Economic Development Strategy includes investment in a remote enterprise centre to improve the business skills of small and medium sized businesses. In addition, $90 million dollars will be invested in training an additional 300 indigenous ranges on indigenous lands and waterways. Also, the education sector will receive a boost of 60 million dollars so that an extra 200 teachers can be provided.
