Politically speaking, there are some major plumbing problems at Federal Parliament. This year’s budget has been submitted to a record number of leaks on how all the cash will be spent. But the Labor Opposition leader Kevin Rudd believes that the current system of disclosure surrounding the fine financial detail of the budget is substandard. And he has employed outgoing Democrats Senator Andrew Murray to take a look at how transparency can be approved if Labor wins office. Senator Murray outlined what his brief from Labor was.
