In the wake of the Lismore floods, little attention or care has been given by the government to the Aboriginal people living on the edges of the affected communities.

The Koori Mail, based in Lismore and Australia’s only First Nations newspaper, is now unable to print due to the floods, though they now have taken a role of leadership in helping support those affected by the floods.
