Better than a history lesson – the Kokoda Challenge Youth Program teaches young people not only about Australia’s military history but also life skills such as discipline, tolerance, team work, purpose and leadership. The participants develop physical fitness during training activities and camps to prepare for the Kokoda Challenge, a 96 km cross country team event. Eileen Tang spoke to Doug Henderson, chairman of the Kokoda Challenge Association about the youth program.
