Knights challenging football’s new rules of identity

The governing body of football in Australia will have to explain a new policy on club identity and ethnic symbols to the Human Rights Commission, after the Melbourne Knights Football Club filed a complaint under the Racial Discrimination Act. The Knights – traditionally backed by Melbourne’s Croatian community – weren’t allowed to display the logo of one of their sponsors, a Croatian community organisation.
