Homeless youth at Sydney’s Kings Cross say learning to make a real risotto has given them new life. ‘Food for thought’ is the latest youth project at Sydney’s Wayside Chapel. And their communal kitchen nourishes more than hungry bellies. These young poeple are also rubbing shoulders with role models like Claudia Karvan, Eddie Perfect and Sydney Swans Craig Bolton. The wire’s foodie reporter Kate Pinnock donned her apron and discovered Australia’s most talented chef showing the Cross’s homeless youth what good food is all about.
