Kids Teaching Kids is a program that puts education about the environment back in the hands of young people. Teachers become mentors, and school students of all ages take over the role of educating each other. The ‘peer education’ model has been embraced with many schools all over Australia becoming involved. This is Kids Teaching Kids week, and it’s expected over 11,000 students will take part. Featured in this report: Arron Wood – Founder of Kids Teaching Kids; Ann Dickinson – Grade 5/6 teacher at St. John’s School (Portland); and Lucy de Guloten – Grade 5 student.
