Kevin Rudd has announced the practical steps that will fulfill a major election promise: to abolish Work Choices. The new National Employment Standards are ten points that will apply to every work environment- whether the work is casual, part time or permanent. The new rules include a 38 hr working week, 2 years non paid parental leave and 4 weeks annual leave.
