Have you ever considered how you’ll survive when you’re over 60? Do you worry about the standards of nursing homes, Or how you’ll get a job when you’re suffering from arthritis? Well, Older People Speak Out, or OPSO – a group that puts older people’s issues on the agenda – says most people don’t. And that’s why, they say, we need a National Seniors Council to advise the government on issues relating to our older citizens. Featured in story: Val French, President of Older People Speak Out. Special thanks to “Elders”, a Zapruder’s Other Films/ ABC1 Production for the use of their audio at the start of this piece.
