If John Kery wins the US Presidential Election, what will this mean for America globally and what will it mean for Australia? Professor Roger Bell, from the School of History at the University of New South Wales thinks there would be a difference in policy direction and administration under John Kerry as opposed to George Bush. But along with some members of the Australian public who are more sympathetic to Kerry, he thinks Bush will probably be re-elected this week. With Kerry in Power he believes in a re-emergence of the old US- key allies in Europe and a weakening of US-Australian relations. But can Bush overcome the backlash against his leadership around the world? and how will the election itself unfold with the possibility of irregularities in the election and the loss of trust in the American democracy?
