Today is the second day of the royal Commission into juvenile detention in the Northern Territory. As the commission hears more evidence about the conditions within the Don Dale Centre Aboriginal Affairs Minister Nigel scullion has suggested the idea of ‘prison farms’ as an alternative to what is clearly not a suitable system for juvenile offenders. However critics continue to insist that the Commission is too short and too limited in scope to have any chance of bringing about change.
